I don’t know how it works, or how I get so lucky. This day was pretty dark and gloomy for the most part. Somehow it stopped raining JUST as the ceremony was to begin, and stopped for JUST enough time for us to get some photos outside. I hope I didn’t just jinx myself, bust seriously it happends everytime I have a wedding when there’s bad weather. I hope it means great luck for the bride and groom and that their marriage will be everlasting! Here is a sneak peek of my latest wedding…

First off, I went a bit overboard with the photos! I try to limit these sneak peeks to under 20 but somehow got carried away! Oh well!
The day started off sunny and beautiful. I was so happy knowing that we would be able to get some great photos outside. The ceremony went wonderful, the bride was beaming, and the groom was so emotional his vows could barely be spoken. It reminded my of my husband during our ceremony
Of course as soon as it was time to head downtown with my bride and groom it started raining and was windy! We sent everyone on to the reception, the bride and groom got into my car ( something I’ve never done before) and we headed to the park for some super quick photos! The car ride was fun for me… I’ve never heard someone say “you look beautiful” so many times within a 15 minute time period! And the poor bride could not breathe her dress was so tight! So basically the car ride went a little like this:
ME ” I want to go faster but could you imagine if I got pulled over when we’re already going to be late!” GROOM ” You look so beautiful!” BRIDE ” Oh my gosh I seriously can’t breathe!” Sounds fun right?!
Well, somehow we got lucky and by the time we got to our photo location the wind died down and the rain stopped. We had about 15-20 minutes and used every second for photos, oh and for me to loosen the brides dress. Then on we went to the reception where I had a great time! I want to thank Coleen for referring her lovely friend to me, and the bride and groom and entire family for being so nice and great to work with! Here is your way to long of a sneak peek!

“Here comes the bride” look at the groom! SO sweet!

Attack of the bubbles!!

As the wind picked up and it started to rain the happy newlyweds came out!
This is when they realized the car they were supposed to get into was locked…

LOVE those shoes!!!

Oh how I love doing engagement photos. They’re fun, sweet, silly, calming, sensual, exciting… I just love everything about them! This session was all of those things. We met downtown on a cloud covered evening in an eerily quite park. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it so still on a Saturday evening downtown. I have to say it was nice, very relaxing… for me anyway. I’m sure it feels different to have a crazy excited stranger pointing her camera at you!
Well, not a complete stranger since I went to school with the Mr. below. Anyway, I had lot’s of fun with these two and I hope they had lot’s of fun with me! Thank you for spending the evening with me C&J! I hope you love your sneak peek!

I can’t tell you how excited I was for this session! I met with the soon to be bride a while back over coffee. It was one of those meetings where you know right away that you click with each other. We got along so well and ended up chatting and laughing… love it when that happens! Anyway, we had such a fun time walking around downtown on Easter of all days to schedule engagements. We got lucky to have nice weather and since it was a holiday there wasn’t many people around to get in our way.
Thanks M&J for being so awesome to work with! I can’t wait for your wedding!!! Enjoy your sneak peek.

I don’t think I’ve had so much fun during a session as I did during this one maybe… ever! Working with 5 young children you never know what to expect as a photographer. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. These kids are not only adorable and sweet, they also listened really well. I can’t say if it came natural or if their parents threatened them before I got there
Either way it was a great shoot! If your wondering why I chose to name this post what it is… the last photo sums it all up. While walking back to our cars little “I” was chasing the “chickens.” I laughed about it the rest of the day. =) Thank you A&T and all the kiddos for hanging out in the cold, wind, and rain with me! I can’t wait for your wedding! Enjoy your sneak peek.

I laugh every time I look at the 2 photos above
I have a feeling the photo above sums up their life… trying to catch a moment alone with all 5 kids running a muck… love it!
He sure loves his momma… didn’t want to leave her side!
Me: ”Don’t smile” love when that happens!
The Chicken!

Last weekend I did a wedding at a beautiful church in Boise. It was a calm drizzly day so we weren’t able to do many photos outside. I found a great little corner in the church with some wonderful lighting and was able to get some great shots of the bride and groom. I loved the bride’s shoes, brooch, and hair piece. I loved how simple and elegant everything was. The wedding was held at a church where no flash or photos were allowed during the ceremony, which made me a bit sad, but I was able to get a few quick shots right after the pastor announced them as Mr. and Mrs! Afterward we headed to Beside Bardenay, which I had never been to before and I loved it! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Bowman! Your children will have the bluest eyes ever! =) Enjoy your sneak peek…

Thank you to all of my wonderful clients from last year for making it a great one for me and my new business! I have to thank my dad for all his help, and my husband who puts up with me everyday and gives me the confidence to keep going! I had to post this photo of us… it is just too perfect and pretty much sums up our life together. =)
I had a lot of fun working with these two. They decided to get married downtown at the courthouse and wanted some photos of them afterwards at the Boise Train Depot. They were easy to work with and lots of fun and “not picky!”
We braved the cold, snow, and fog and I teased Nicole that she was going to get frost bite on her toes… look at those shoes! Thank you Nicole and Dale for sharing a special time in your lives with me. Enjoy your sneak peak!
Last weekend I drove to Burns, OR for a fantastic wedding at Urizer Ranch. The ranch has been in the family for years and still has the original home, barn and other buildings around the property. I couldn’t have asked for a better location, weather or a nicer family to work with. I saw many ideas that I’d never seen done before. They had photos of every married couple in the family they could fit hanging up… which I LOVED. During the father-daughter and the mother-son dances they invited all other parents and their children to join them half way through. It was so special to see all the parents dancing with their babies! Thank you so much to Mike and Brandi for having me come out to your wedding. I enjoyed every minute of it, including the horses, hungry cows, and the chicken dance!
Hope you love your sneak
peek!
